Dmitrijs Meiksans is a 19-year old entrepreneur, currently the Director of The Local Marketing Company Ltd.
The Local Marketing Company, the multi-award-winning marketing firm, headquartered in Hampshire, has garnered acclaim, named Marketing Consultancy of the Year at the South England Prestige Awards in 2023. The company excels in providing a range of services, including website design, social media management, branding, and graphic design.
Dmitrijs has also reached the finals of the Hampshire Business Awards, in the Young Business Person of the Year Award consecutively in 2023 and 2024, as well as having won Young Business Person of the Year at the Central South Business Awards in 2022.
In his political activism work, as the former Member of Youth Parliament for North West Hampshire between 2019-2024, he passionately represented the interests of 25,000 young people aged 11-18. Currently, Dmitrijs serves as the Chair of Hampshire County Council’s Youth Forum, advocating for young people and addressing pertinent issues.
In 2021, Dmitrijs received the prestigious Diana Award for his outstanding social and humanitarian work. He was also honoured with the ‘Young Person of the Year’ Award at the Pride of Andover Awards and shortlisted for The Children’s Achievement Award at the Children and Young People Now Awards.
Dmitrijs made his debut House of Commons speech at the Prime Minister’s despatch box in 2023. His speech focused on the critical importance of the quality of food young people receive at school, shedding light on a crucial aspect of youth well-being and education.
Beyond this notable achievement, Dmitrijs has delivered keynote speeches at various Hampshire County Council events, including the stakeholders conference for Hampshire 2050. He has also hosted significant events such as the Hampshire Youth Parliament’s Election Evening at the County Council’s HQ and co-hosted the Pride of Andover Awards 2023 alongside Jordan Wylie MBE, and in 2024, alongside rock legend Simon Gallup of The Cure, and more recently, hosted the Test Valley Business Awards in 2024.
